April: Strengthening Growth

Hello Reader,

By April, what was once hidden is now emergent and coming to life. Tender shoots have become small plants, reaching upward with silent determination. Attention shifts from guarding emergence to supporting steady growth, ensuring that what has begun to grow has what it needs to continue and to thrive.

Sun, rain, soil, and space all matter now. Too much or too little of any one element can influence the direction of growth. In our own lives, this asks for awareness: What are we feeding? What are we crowding? What is asking for more room, more light, or more care?

There is also a quiet humility in this stage. Growth is no longer just potential. It is visible, and therefore more vulnerable. We are invited to tend what is growing without gripping it too tightly. Support, adjust, and allow. The life force already knows what it is doing.

Some thoughts for reflection

  • Where in my life is growth becoming visible right now?
  • Am I over-supporting, under-supporting, or simply witnessing?
  • What conditions help me grow in a way that feels natural and sustainable?

Suggested practice

Spend a few minutes each day noticing something that is actively growing, within you or around you. Rather than asking how to control it, ask: What does this need to thrive?

Featured Workshops and Events

In line with this month's theme, I am not scheduling any major events or workshops in April. Instead, I am taking time to reflect on what is emerging naturally in my own life and plans – not to push, but to observe. So many things are in motion in these times, many changes and many adjustments.

I am continuing to focus on writing for my Journey of Personal Evolution blog. If you have not subscribed, I encourage you to take a look at the latest articles there.

Here are the in-person workshops and events scheduled in Austin in May. More information and registration on these will be available soon, so if you are in the Austin area, please make sure you are on that list! See the link below.

Releasing to Make Room for the New

Hello Reader, The theme of last month's newsletter was about recognizing when something has become complete. The suggested practice urged us to: Spend time observing what has quietly matured in your life. Ask, "What is ready to be released?" Then notice what naturally opens as you participate in the rhythm already unfolding. Like many of you, I found that invitation wasn't just for the newsletter. It became true in my own life. It became clear that what had worked before wasn't working...

Hello Reader, The Summer Solstice marks a subtle turning point. The sun appears to pause at its highest point before beginning its gradual journey toward shorter days. It is a quiet reminder that every season has its own rhythm. The Solstice is like the pause between the inhale and the exhale of the passing of the seasons – a brief opportunity to reflect before the rhythm continues and the energy moves again. The question appears: "What comes next?" Over the past few months, we have focused...

Consciously tending the garden with patience and care.

Hello Reader, By June, the season has changed. What was only possibility a few months ago may now show signs of life – first fruits, stronger roots, clearer direction. Yet growth rarely arrives in a straight line. There are periods of progress, followed by pauses, unexpected weather, or conditions that require adjustment. The land does not interpret these moments as failure. It responds through continued tending. This may be part of June’s teaching. Patience alone is not enough if it becomes...
